Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY, born on 17 March in 1988) also known as Grimes she is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, as well as a record producer. There are many styles of her earlier music is described as "lo the fi R&B" and "futuristic dance-pop". She has also used elements of hip hop, electronic and rock. Her songs often incorporate science-fiction and feminist themes in the lyrics. The band has released five albums. Born and raised in Vancouver (later shifting into Montreal), Grimes began independently releasing music at the end of the 2000s and released two albums, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa from 2010 with Arbutus Records. After signing with 4AD the band gained fame through Visions, her third album of studio work. Visions includes the singles "Genesis," and "Oblivion". It was also the recipient of the Juno Award of the Canadian Music Industry for Electronic Album of the Years. After this, her fourth studio album, Art Angels, was launched in the year of 2015 and earned critical praise as several publications declared it to be the best album of the year. [6] Her fifth studio album, Miss Anthropocene, was made available in the year 2000. Grimes is also a judge in Alter Ego, a music contest. She participated in the role-playing game that of Cyberpunk 2077 2020 role-playing game.
